Having Lego in our class is awesome!

"This is an obstacle course. It's got water - hot, medium and freezing. We play with it nicely.  We worked together.  It broke so we couldn't fix it and we built a different one."

Mobilo Instructions

There are so many different ways to use the Mobilo, so many things we can make!

As a way to save our ideas we are drawing our designs and writing instructions for others to make them too.

This process sometimes takes a bit of discussion.

Check out the instruction file in the Mobilo box and have a go at making something from it.

Word Art

This week one of our learning wall choices is 'Word Art' where we are turning words into pictures. We watched a video to start us off.

We made (or tried to make) paper pots with our buddy class today

It was very tricky!

We watched some YouTube clips to show us how to make them.

Some of us managed to make a pot that held together with dirt in it.

Little Scientists in Action

School Skiing - The Last Day

A snowy ski day did nothing to deter these adventurers from their enjoyment of school skiing.  Today was our last day up Remarkables.  It was cold.  Pohatu 1 students, along with Pohatu 4 and 5 have been 'Reaching Up' over the last 6 weeks as they have gained new skills and experiences on skis.

After today's lesson. Some instructors warmed us up with a Hot Chocolate.  Thank you instructors!
