Inspired by Andy Warhol

We joined Pohatu 5 tamariki and explored the 'pop art' by andy Warhol.  Students shared what the noticed about his art...their ideas included colours, neat colouring (inside the lines), bananas and Mickey Mouse!  Mrs Moss and Miss Langford had some black and white photos of each student ready for them to do some Andy Warhol inspired colouring!

These are now up on our 'gallery wall'.

Inspiring Young Artists

This week Pohatu 1 Students enjoyed visiting each of the rooms in the Pod to experience different art forms.

On Tuesday they did some printing with Mrs V.  "We used stamps.  We stamped on pieces of paper."

On Wednesday students made window stickers with Ms Taylor: "we used white glue and different colours".

On Thursday it was positive and negative with Mrs Shaw.  There were squiggly lines, "we learned about positive and negative" and students made straight lines by cutting.

On Friday it was back with Mrs Moss and we learned about the artist 'Miro' and using lines in our art.
